Hilliker Corporation Sells Crescent Planing Mill's 124-Year-Old Building

The building where Crescent Planing Mill Co., a custom architectural woodworking business, operated since 1890 was recently sold.

Located at 3227 N. Ninth Street, the 124-year-old property consisted of 80,000-square-feet and sold for $237,500.  Hilliker Corporation agent Will Aschinger represented both the buyer, Active Acquisitions, LLC and the seller, Crescent Planing Mill Co.

Crescent Planing Mill, which closed its doors in April, 2012, was in its fourth generation of Fikes' family ownership.  In 2008, it was a $5 million company that had 50 employees and was part of the carpenters' union.  The business manufactured customer architectural woodworking for a variety of commercial clientele.

Hilliker Corporation, which targets regional and national entrepreneurs, is St. Louis' largest locally owned independent commercial real estate company located at 1401 S. Brentwood Blvd.  The firm's agents, who each average over 15 years of experience, have completed more than 10,000 sales and leases for industrial, office, retail and institutional clients since its inception in 1985.  For more information, contact Hal Ball at (314) 781-0001 or visit their website at www.hillikercorp.com.
