Patient-Safety Equipment Company To Relocate Headquarters

Relocating to a larger facility typically reflects a company's growth, which is why Prism Medical's upcoming move proves just how transparently successful the business really is.

Prism Medical, a safe patient handling equipment and mobility equipment provider, will relocate from its current 30,000-square-foot office to its 81,000-square-foot space at 10876 Metro Blvd. in the same Maryland Heights area. According to Chief Operating Officer Charley Wallace, Prism Medical signed a 12-year lease and will add between 10 to 20 employees when the company moves in May, 2014.

The property was previously the home of KV Pharmaceutical Co., which was foreclosed on in Aug., 2013. Hilliker Corporation agent Jeff Altvater handled tenant representation for Prism Medical; Cassidy Turley represented the landlord.

Prism Medical specializes in safety for both caregivers and patients with a variety of products including patient lifts and slings, assisted mobility aids, bathing systems, and accessibility products and services. Founded in 1997, Prism Medical has nearly 100 local employees, as well as offices in Canada and the United Kingdom with 450 employees.

Hilliker Corporation, which targets regional and national entrepreneurs, is St. Louis' largest locally owned independent commercial real estate company located at 1401 S. Brentwood Blvd. The firm's agents, who each average over 15 years of experience, have completed more than 10,000 sales and leases for industrial, office, retail and institutional clients since its inception in 1985.
