Verizon Wireless and The Women’s Safe House work to end domestic violence in St. Louis

Verizon Wireless’ HopeLineprogram for domestic violence prevention and awareness is donating $7,500 to The Women’s Safe House to provide safe shelter and support services to battered women and their dependent children and to empower women to make informed choices about their futures.

Verizon is committed to helping the nearly one in four women, one in seven men and more than 3 million children in the United States affected by domestic violence and is doing its part to end this epidemic by collecting no-longer-used wireless phones and accessories and turning them into support for domestic violence organizations nationwide. Through HopeLine, Verizon has donated hundreds of thousands of phones and awarded millions of dollars in cash grants to our partner agencies.
