Keeping the "holy" in Advent

No matter your faith tradition, remember that the season of Advent is a time when we wait with anticipation for a gift from God.

It's so easy to forget what is important during this busy and stressful holiday season.   No matter your faith tradition, remember that the season of Advent is a time when we wait with anticipation for a gift from God.

So between the shopping trips and the visits to Santa, take time to keep the "holy" in Advent, as suggested in the quote below:

Advent Day 4: "So how about this: take some time right now, here at the beginning of Advent, and add some holy something to your to-do list. A volunteer gig. A sizable donation to a good charity. A visit to your ailing aunt. It won't save the world, but it'll be a start."

~Quinn G. Caldwell, from Hark! Advent Devotionals 2012
