Upcoming Chicken Class for Beginners

Hello everybody, and I will take the liberty of welcoming myself back, since I am an on-again/off again poster, my goodness, life is busy!

David's nephew was at a bike race of sorts and ran into some high school classmate friends of his.  They excitedly told them that they just got chickens.  He excitedly informed them that his uncle's girlfriend had chickens.  They excitedly (chickens seem to excite people!) asked what my name was, and (you guessed it) excitedly informed him that they know me!  How fun is that.

But whether you know me or not, the person that you will want to know if you have new chickens or are interested in getting chickens is Guy Niere (pronounced near-ee).  For any regular readers of mine, you might recognize him as the Black Jack Chicken Dude that I posted about so much last Spring and Summer.

He is teaching a four hour class (they are priceless gifts to the community!) this coming Saturday, April 13th, called Back Yard Chickens for the Novice.  It contains invaluable information, with informative Power Point and a stellar handout that should be for sale on the local book shelf.  To register, call 314.984.7777 or go in person to the Forest Park Community College, hours to register in person are Mon- Thru, 8:30 am - 7:30 pm. Friday 8:30 am - 4 pm.

The class is course #50879 in Tower G111 and it is listed in the Ecology section of the Continuing Ed Course book - ages ago, when I tried to register for my first class, neither myself nor the college person could locate the course,

The cost is $35.00 (WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY!), seniors of 60+ are $20.00.

There are currently 6 people signed up, so the class is a go.  I won't be there, as I am taking 3 of Guy's Penedesencas to the show in Silex and bringing back some new bloodstock and/or eggs for him, I am going to have more fun than he!
