Seminar on Sunday: Animal Healing--Feelings for Animals and Animal Feelings

Dr. Michael Fox seminar this Sunday at St. Louis University

Dr. Michael Fox is a British veterinarian who works in animal behaviour and rights.  He used to teach at Wash U (before my time) and had a wolf that he would take with him to his office, so I am told.

I had a conversation with someone, years ago, before I was an animal behaviourist, about talking to him while the wolf hopped into the back of his car, just like a dog.

I am not a regular newspaper reader, but if memory serves correctly, he has a regular advice (aka Ann Landers) column in the pet section. I must admit that I am not a huge fan of his answers, but I do have his research texts on my library shelf.

I just got this email from Jenn from Stray Rescue of St. Louis, here is the information on his lecture this Sunday:

Good morning!  I wanted to be sure everyone knew that Dr. Michael W. Fox will be giving a presentation this Sunday (May 5) at St. Louis University at noon.  It's a one hour presentation "Animal Healing--Feelings for Animals and Animal Feelings" at the Cook Auditorium at SLU.   After his talk, we'll have a meet & greet over at the SLU Museum of Art as we close our Urban Wanderers exhibit  (hopefully you've all been able to stop by and check out the art--it's free to look :)

Tickets for Dr. Fox are $20 which he wants donated to Stray Rescue. A donor
is covering his expenses to come to STL.

Tickets can be bought online or pay at the door. Spread the word.  For those not familiar with Dr. Fox--he's a remarkable man.  Google him if you have a few minutes today.
