As I write these words it is still Mothers Day but just barely. I am among the very fortunate in that I was able once again to celebrate this day with my Mother. So this week I'd like to post just a few photos of the very many fine women who once lived here in Maplewood and contributed their efforts to making this community and country a stable and safe place to live for so many years.
In a nod to the holiday these photos are of women who were mothers. But my hat is also off to all of the women who for whatever reasons had no children and about whom we have little information.
As for the title of this post, I really have no idea whether or not these Mamas were red hot but it got your attention, didn't it?
