Jim Remley's Hill Top Market in Maplewood.

Now mostly forgotten Jim Remley stores must have provided many area residents with groceries and sundry items.  This full page ad from April 11, 1945 mentions sixteen stores.

The Hill Top Market has long since disappeared from the Maplewood landscape.  The site where it once sat at 2319 Big Bend is now occupied by an antique mall.

The photo judging from the automobiles appears to be from the mid-1940's.  This photo is courtesy of well-known man-about-town, Harlie Frankel whose family once owned the Remley market/s.
