Imagination Station, now in its 11th year, will be hosted at and . It runs from June 6 through July 29 and is a joint venture of Brentwood, Maplewood and Richmond Heights.

The camp is offered as a series of weeklong sessions, each with a different theme, said Kate Whaley, recreation supervisor at The Heights community center. Weekly themes this year will include Wonders of Nature, Time Warp and the seasons. During the week focusing on seasons, participants might engage in such activities as cutting out snowflakes on a winter-centric day and celebrate summer, spring and fall on other days. During Wonders of Nature, participants will take a field trip to Weldon Spring.

Other camp events will include trips to the Ballwin and Webster Groves swimming pools and a barbecue.

The camp is open to participants with disabilities and staff will be on-hand to provide assistance, Whaley said. Camp leaders all have CPR training and counselors are all required to have first-aid training.

The best-attended weekly session last year had 130 participants, Whaley said.
