Downed Oak Kills Power On Laclede Station

Friday night's storm knocked down a giant oak, which took down power lines in the 2800 block of Laclede Station Road. Nancy Schick, who lives next door to the downed tree, said she heard the crash around 9:15 Friday night.

There were no injuries.

Ameren and tree service crews were on the scene 7 a.m. Saturday clearing the tree to fix the downed wires.

According to the Ameren web site 202 Maplewood customers were without power Friday night.
