How will your kids stay busy this summer?

As spring approaches, so do the deadlines for summer camps. We share some of our favorites below, but we'd love to hear which ones you and your child loves. Add your thoughts in the comments.

  • Camp Pegnita — An old-fashioned day camp in Kirkwood at the Villa di Maria Montessori School, Camp Pegnita offers classic camp fun like archery, sports, games, campfires, hiking and swim lessons.
  • Mad Science of St. Louis — For your budding scientist, this camp engages children in scientific exploration, with fun, educational activities like bridge-building, dinosaur digs, model rockets and more.
  • Sacha's St. Louis School of Circus Arts — If someone you know wants to learn how to juggle and entertain, this awesome circus camp offers workshops and lessons in the art of flying trapeze.
  • Lewis and Clark Summer Institute — New classes are being offered at the Institute this year that may pique your kids' interest. Try the Fencing and Fitness class, Aviation, Space and Engineering (taught by Saint Louis University professors) or Exploring St. Louis in the Age of Lewis and Clark, where kids go on walking tours of downtown St. Louis.
  • GALLOP Horse Camp — It's in Lake Saint Louis so it's a bit of a trek, but if your child has an undying passion for horses this is the camp for you. GALLOP accepts kids age 6 through 16, beginner or advanced. Services include hands-on horsemanship, horse trivia, vaulting, riding and more.
