Ron Paul visited Lindenwood University’s Robert Hyland Arena in St. Charles in early March, and gave 3,000 supporters what they came for. He said the U.S. government has ignored the Constitution to the country’s peril. “It’s liberty that we need and it can be restored,” Paul told the cheering crowd.

This caused excitement among parents who thought that Orbit, a "pinball lounge," would be a spot for teens to play hang out. They were disappointed when they saw the sign on the front door that no one under 21 will be admitted. The comments started flowing. Then the owner commented out that he had a conditional liquor license, and that's the way it has to be.

It's too bad that an incident involving a Maplewood resident, who most likely didn't have $1 million, had to happen at all. I hope this young man works things out in his life sooner rather than later.

The residents of Brentwood's Ward 1 were blanketed by a robocall survey the Saturday before a Board of Aldermen meeting. Several took the podium in the public comment segment of the meeting to tell Mayor Pat Kelly and the board the survey wasn't appreciated, and one resident accused Kelly of being behind the calls. When Kelly had his turn, he told the room he wrote and funded the survey. “It’s for my use, and that’s it,” Kelly said.

There must be a decent group of you interested in planets for this to make number five. The evenings leading up to this event were clear, so anyone interested would have known that Jupiter and Venus were getting closer each night. Too bad it was cloudy on the big night! By the way, they're still up there in the west in the early evening, and the moon plays into the dance once a month too.
