Weekend in the 'Woods: Author Visits Maplewood, Cyclists Gear Up for Cranksgiving

An Evening With Elaine Viets
The author  "An Uplifting Murder," featuring a Maplewood-based character named Josie. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

John Batdorf of the 1970's duo, Bardorf and Rodney,  as part of his "Old Man Dreamin' Tour." Seating is limited, advance ticket purchase is recommended.

Scrapbooking Tour
A  for hobbyists, leaves at 9 a.m. from The Heights. Lunch is at your own expense. The day will be filled with demos and discounts.
When: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost: $20 for for Maplewood and Richmond Heights residents, $25 for non-residents

Diabetes Education Expo
Learn about diabetes and  for successful management of the condition. Experts will present seminars on eye care, foot care, nutrition and more.
When: Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon

Sausage Dinner at Immaculate Conception
Come get a buffet-style meal of sausage, sauerkraut, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, bread, applesauce, pies and cakes! 
When: Saturday, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Cost: $10 adults, $4 children (10 and younger)

The Brunch Bunch
The American Legion Goff-Mall Post 101 is offering an all-you-can-eat brunch on Sunday. Call 647-1272 if you're interested.
When: Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 

Cranksgiving
Cyclists gather at Schlafly Bottleworks to help the local people who need support. They are given a shopping list and map. The participants then ride around and buy the needed items.
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.

Cost: Around $10-20
