Community Corner

For Brentwood – A Magic Show (FREE)

The Brentwood Lions Club, a community service organization in our community since the early 1950's is showing the community appreciation for all their years of support.

Since it was a great success last year, the Brentwood Lions Club is again hosting a community awareness and appreciation evening on Friday, March 15th.  The Club has invited Brian Staron, a magician-comedian, who performs at Disney World Florida, to come back and to provide a FREE fun-filled evening of magic and comedy.  He is bringing his one-of-a-kind comedy magic act to Brentwood for one night only.  This is a very family-friendly event -- fun for kids (and adults) of all ages!!!

The event will be held at the Goff-Moll American Legion Post 101, 2721 Collier Ave.  Doors open at 6:00 pm and the show starts around 6:30 pm.

The Brentwood Lions Club has provided many useful and needed activities through the years, and they will also be sharing information and understanding of all the good things that the Club does for our community and across the world.

Although their primary focus is on the Helen Keller challenge to become "Knights of the Blind", providing assistance to the visually challenged, and supporting projects that will help prevent preventable blindness, they have continued to support projects that support the community as a whole. Their members, which includes several couples from the area, can often be seen completing projects of improvements as well as fund raising.

There will also be opportunities to understand how you can get involved in this tremendous organization to guarantee that future generations are assured the benefits and opportunities that the Brentwood Lions Club have long provided.

It will be an evening filled of family entertainment.  The event is FREE to the public, but donations will be gladly accepted.  Seating will be limited, but there are plenty of tickets.  Please contact Eugene Taylor at 314-660-1337 or LionPinkFloyd@sbcglobal.net to find out more information and reserve your tickets.  You can also check out our website www.brentwoodlions.org.

Come join us for an exciting evening on March 15th so we can say thank you to the community that has supported us for over 59 years!
