R-S Theatrics presents PARADE
R-S Theatrics, the only professional theatre company operating out of Maplewood, is proud to continue our exciting 3rd season with PARADE
Music by Jason Robert Brown and Book by Alfred Uhry
Based on the true story of Leo Frank, a Northern, Jewish man who was arrested and tried for the murder of 13-year old Mary Phagan in Atlanta, GA in 1913.
This case captured the attention of the nation and was propelled forward by yellow journalism (and is a fine example of early "instant news") and ultimately became the driving force behind the resurgence of the Ku Klux Klan and the formation of the Jewish Anti-Defamation League.
What divides a nation? What changes a town into a mob? And what is the difference between "justice" and "revenge"?
