Scouting For Food

Brentwood Pack 656 is participating in the annual Scouting for Food drive this fall.  Our Scouts need your help - and so do thousands of hungry people in the St. Louis region.

The 2013 Scouting for Food drive will take place on two consecutive Saturdays in November.  On November 9, Scouts will place plastic bags at doorsteps throughout the community.  The following Saturday, November 16, Scouts will return to pick up the filled bags. On each Saturday we will begin at 10:00 a.m. and are generally completed by 12:00 noon.

Upon pickup on Saturday, November 16, the food donated will be taken to the local collection station - the Brentwood Fire Station - and from there donations are boxed and distributed to relief pantries.  The collection stations will be open until 4:00 p.m.

Your help is desperately needed.  This year the Scouts hope to match or better the success of last year's food drive.  Please be sure to look for your Scouting for Food bag and fill it with any non-perishable food items you can donate.  This year the food pantries are looking for protein food such as canned tuna, peanut butter, or canned ravioli.
