Christ Church UCC - Sausage Supper

The Christ Church Wurstmarkt (otherwise known as the Sausage Supper) is a tradition that spans over 60 year. The sausage, a 100 year old Koelling family recipe will again be served at the dinner and sold by the pound.

In the "good old days," church members would start early in the day making the sausage on site. They did everything from grinding, mixing in spices, creating the links and finally packaging the product for sale. This process was an all day event for the sausage makers!

Due to health regulations, Christ Church has turned it's famous family recipe over to a meat processing company in southern Illinois. They make the sausage exactly as the Koelling family recipe.

Dinner is served from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Dinners are $8.00 and Schlafly beer will be awailable for $3.00 per bottle.

Bring your appetite and be prepared to have one of the best sausage suppers in town! Don't be surpised if you can't leave the church without a bag of packaged sausage!
