Brentwood Real Estate: How Much Do Brentwood Homes Cost?

Find out how much Brentwood homes cost and how long it takes for them to sell.

This year, there have been 120 homes and condos that sold in Brentwood.

Of these homes, about half of them sold for $100,000 - $160,000.

The least expensive property sold for $55,007 and the most expensive was $675,000.

Homes took a median 114 days to get a solid contract.

What Does This Mean for You?

If you are looking for a home to buy and want to live in Brentwood, you will have the most options if you buy a home for $100,000 - $160,000. If you can't afford that much or you are looking for features in your new home that push the price more expensive, you won't have nearly as many options.

If you are looking to sell your Brentwood home, the homes that sold the fastest this year were priced under $90,000...largely because there were so few homes in this price range that buyers snapped them up.

If your home is valued between $100,000 - $160,000, you'll be competing with other Brentwood homes, and that could push up the selling time to 4 months or more if you don't price your home appropriately from the start.

If your home is worth $160,000 - $350,000, there aren't as many buyers as there are for homes which are priced lower, so you'll need to make sure that you are priced competitively by comparing your home to the competition that is currently on the market or recently sold.

If your home is worth more than $350,000, you have a home with features that are rare in Brentwood and you should be able to sell your home faster than the lower priced homes as long as you don't overprice it.

Sold homes were listed through an agent in MARIS, were located in both Brentwood School District and 63144 zip code, and sold between the dates of 1/1/2012-12/18/2012.
