It is stocked with more than 1000 books and periodicals covering everything from herbology to essential oils to Eastern medicine, reflecting our belief in a holistic approach books on diet, exercise, positive thinking, breathing, spirituality and various Eastern and Western philosophies. We even have a collection of antique and historical books on herbs. Our library is open to the public during normal business hours.   Our monthly classes can cover a wide range of holistic health topics. Our goal at Cheryl’s Herbs is to make it easier and more convenient for you to have a more natural and healthy lifestyle. Our class topics reflect that. An upcoming class, taught by Cheryl, will be Natural Support For Cancer Recovery. She will discuss the natural remedies which have long been used to support cancer recovery. She will share her experience and feedback from customers on this subject and her thoughts on what is recommended by the most respected herbal authorities. Recent class topics have included Herbal Medicine Chest, How to Make Your Own Herbal Products, Natural Skin & Hair Care, Medicinal Uses of Culinary Garden Herbs, Natural Support for Living with Diabetes.   Cheryl also teaches beginning and advanced Aromatherapy Certification classes at Cheryl’s Herbs through the East-West School of Herbal and Aromatic Studies. This certification program is the only “live” course presented in the Midwest and provides each student the opportunity of hands on learning experiences.   Where is a good place to start for somebody who is interested in aromatherapy and herbal products?   Cheryl's Herbs! Everyday at Cheryl’s Herbs we serve complimentary herbal tea in our store. We are frequently asked questions about what herbs to take for certain conditions. We are not doctors and cannot advise customers in this way but we do know about herbs. We show customers books on the topic they are asking about and tell them what other people have used in the same situation or what we personally have tried or would use in their situation. We try to help them learn to make their own educated decision.   We always diffuse essential oils into the air of our cheery and bright shop. One of the greatest pleasures for us is to watch the reaction of people as they walk through the door and get their first whiff of the deliciously fragranced air. Many people comment "I feel so good when I come here!". That makes our day.   Cheryl Hoard, owner of Cheryl's Herbs is internationally recognized as a national leader in elevating the standards of Aromatherapy use and education.
