Concert for a Cause

Celebrate Maplewood on Wednesday and benefit a great cause at the summer concert series.

This Wednesday, August 22nd, The Maplewood Community Betterment Foundation's (MCBF) free summer concert series will be a great event to celebrate Maplewood and benefit needy members of our community. Please come out and join us for the Concert for a Cause at Ryan Hummert Park between 6p.m.-8p.m. A band with Maplewood roots, UJ & The Down Home Blues Band, will be playing.

The Maplewood United Methodist Church has generously contributed to be the featured sponsor for the concert while the MCBF and the Maplewood Richmond Heights (MRH) School District has teamed up to help hungry families living in our community. The MCBF and MRH will be collecting non-perishable and preferably healthy foods to donate to the MRH's Weekends on Wheels program. Each weekend throughout the school year, MRH High School students pack nutritious food into rolling suitcases which are given to needy children attending MRH Early Childhood Center and Elementary School.

The weather looks like it will be great on Wednesday so come out with your family and friends, bring some food items to donate, pack your lawn chairs and picnic blankets, and enjoy a night celebrating Maplewood. More information can be found at http://mcbfstl.org/
