Obituary: Former Brentwood Resident Anthony Sokol

Anthony Sokol was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.

Anthony Sokol, who previously lived in Brentwood, died on July 16, according to an obituary on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website. He was 89.

Sokol served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a machine gunner, and earned a Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars.
