Maplewood Tree Removal

This is what's happening on Richmond Place on the first block east of Big Bend. Residents said today that workers cut down 6 trees on the block in one day. The residents said they only knew of 1 tree to be rotten. They also said a forester has been by to restate that the remaining trees must come down. Maplewood Public Works has claimed these trees' root structures can not withstand the street repairs and therefore, must be cut down. The gnome in the final picture will be displaced when the tree where he lives is cut down on schedule during the course of the street repairs.
