True incident: DISPATCHERS NEED TO REMAIN INHOUSE

True incident: Let me share with you a little something about the Sports Attic fire. In March 2012 the Sports Attic (formerly Ruby's) caught fire and burned to the ground. Brentwood was on the scene so was Rock Hill and several other depts, but Maplewood never made it to the scene to assist. Maplewood is dispatched by east central. On listening to the recordings of what exactly happened because initially the fire chief thought Brentwood dispatch was at fault. Turns out Brentwood dispatch called east central to have Maplewood sent to the scene. East Central never put out the call (for reasons still unknown today) and therefore Maplewood never showed up.   Going to East Cemtral Dispatch Center is something Brentwood does NOT want to do. What we have is far more superior than any centralized dispatch center.
