What is going on in Planning and Zoning in Brentwood?

As the title suggests, there have been what appears to be 'backroom' deals of conference and agreed end-results with NO notice to the populous.  This was most tragically played out recenetly by the BHGH deal that didn't happen.   Among other issues that surfaced was the potential for a racial antipathy....well that did not pan out.  Then (available on U-Tube) other concerns--more foundational to the City of Brentwood came out.  The licensing of a bar-restaurant onto previously all residental property came out.  We heard of how a commercial or other than residential use for Brentwood was being effectively hidden from the residents.  "But we sent out notices..." doesn't cut it.  People purchased their property for homes in Brentwood, based on P&Z ordinances. I would like to know who is authorizing these under-the-table negotiations before the populous ever catches a notice?  This deceptive practice of "bait and switch" is now in the wholeness of the P&Z committee.  Aldermen are also put down for asking legally relevent questions about the antics---in particular, Alds. Saunders, Leahy, Manestar.  I equally identify Alderman Harper--as he put forward the HISTORICAL VALUES of Brentwood and how easily they are wiped away for profit.  With all due respect--I would like answers and clarification. Identify and give purpose to the under-the-table- dealings or clean your slates and regard the best interests of Brentwood.  love, maureen
