Police: 168 Cold Kegs Stolen in Maplewood

The Maplewood Police Department reported this suspected crimes and others in its weekly report.

The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, April 30

  • A refrigerated trailer was reported stolen from the 7200 block of Southwest Avenue between 12 p.m. on April 27 and 8 a.m. on April 28. There were approximately 168 kegs inside the trailer.

  • A property damage was reported the 7200 block of Southwest Avenue. Windows of a vehicle were shattered and numerous fresh scratches were discovered on the vehicle.  Police have several strong leads in this case. The damage to the vehicle is estimated to be approximately $4000.
  • A 40-year-old female driver was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia resulting from a traffic stop conducted in the area of Folk Avenue and Laclede Station.
  • A 51-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated stemming from a traffic stop conducted in the area of Oxford Avenue and Big Bend  Boulevard.
  • A 34-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a business located in the 7300 block of Manchester Road.

Tuesday, April 30

  • Several televisions and US currency was reported taken in the 2200 block of Yale Avenue. The residence was broken into between 4:50 p.m. and 5:40 p.m.
  • A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a drug violation in the 7700 block of Rannells Avenue.

Wednesday, May 1

  • A 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting approximately $160 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. 

Thursday, May 2

  • A delayed vehicle theft was reported in the 7300 block of Manchester. The victim reported he last observed his 1991 Ford Mustang in the afternoon hours of April 25. Upon reviewing the City of Maplewood Public Safety camera, two unknown subjects are seen pulling up in a dark colored vehicle in the early morning hours of April 26 and subsequently driving away in the victim’s Ford Mustang. A Maplewood officer on patrol located the victim’s vehicle in a parking lot in the 2200 block of Yale on May 3.
  • A 44-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated stemming from a traffic stop conducted in the area of Roseland Terrace and Zephyr Place.

Friday, May 3

  • A 27-year-old man was arrested on a drug violation charge and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to the 2200 block of Yale Avenue for a reported fight between two male subjects.
  • A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A property damage was reported in the 7600 block of Jerome Avenue. A vehicle door handle was tampered with and damaged.
  • A 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting approximately $115 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Saturday, May 4

  • A 25-year-old man was arrested on drug charges resulting from a traffic stop conducted in the area of W. Bruno and Maplewood Commons Drive.

Sunday, May 5

  • A 22-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated resulting from a traffic stop conducted in the area of Manchester Road and Big Bend Boulevard.
  • A 30-year-old man and a 20-year-old female were arrested on suspicion of assaulting one another after police responded to a disturbance call in the 7200 block of Lyndover Place.  Both subjects were additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia which was located inside the residence when police were investigating the above disturbance.
