$530 Counterfeit Check, Drug Arrest, Stolen Dodge in Maplewood Police Report

The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

Tuesday, June 4

  • A purse containing a cell phone and money was reported stolen from a business in the 3200 block of Laclede Station Road.
  •  A vehicle was damaged when someone tampered with the door lock in the 3200 block of Laclede Station Road between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Nothing was reported stolen.
  • A man reportedly drove off without paying for gas from a business in the 3000 block of S. Hanley Road. 
  • A cell phone and GPS unit were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in front of a Maplewood Commons business.

  • A vehicle window was shattered in the 3600 block of Manhattan Avenue between 1 and 9:15 a.m.
  •  A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  •  A woman was reported assaulted by an acquaintance in the 7200 block of Lyndover. 

Thursday, June 6

  • An 18-year-old woman was arrested on a drug violation and possession of drug paraphernalia on in the 3000 block of S. Big Bend.
  •  A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. 
  • Police went to the 7200 block of Anna for a reported domestic disturbance.  A man and a woman had been arguing over medicine. The woman was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.
  • A 25-year-old man was arrested on a drug violation and possession of drug paraphernalia resulting from a traffic stop near Maplewood Commons Drive and W. Bruno Avenue.
  • A 45-year-old man reported his vehicle was stolen on May 25 from the 2100 block of Bellevue Avenue. On June 6 he contacted Maplewood Police to say he had found his vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 7300 block of Manchester Road. Police found out that he had lied about the theft on May 25. He was charged with filing a false police report.

  • A counterfeit $530 check was reported by a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident was reported in a Maplewood Commons business parking lot. Police were able to identify the striking vehicle and are attempting to identify the owner.
  •  A 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting approximately $160 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. 
  • A man in a dark colored Chevrolet drove off without paying for approximately $50 in fuel from a business in the 3000 block of S. Hanley Road.
  • A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Saturday, June 8

  • A 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A  wallet and two GPS units were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 7100 block of High Street at approximately 3:50 p.m. The suspect fled on a bicycle.
  • An 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. 

Sunday, June 9

  • A 2002 Dodge was reported stolen from the 7300 block of Richmond between 2 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. The vehicle was recovered that same day in Maryland Heights near the intersection of Highway 270 and Dorsett. 
  • Door locks were damaged on two vehicles parked in the 3200 block of Walter Avenue in the early morning hours. 
  •  A 17-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting alcohol from a Maplewood Commons business.
