Arrests Made in Connection to Home Burglary, Stolen Purse and DWI in Maplewood

Also, a string of vehicle break-ins were reported on five separate Maplewood blocks one night.

A 23-year-old man was arrested in a Maplewood Commons business on suspicion of stealing $200 in merchandise.

A 36-year-old man was arrested in the 7300 block of Manchester Road on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernlia.

Three firearms were reported stolen from a vehicle between 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The victim told police he noticed the firearms were missing an hour after he left a Maplewood Commons business. 

Friday, Jan. 18

A 38-year-old man was arrested in the 3300 block of Greenwood Boulevard on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested in a Maplewood Commons business on suspicion of shoplifting.

Saturday, Jan. 19

Several vehicles were damaged and broken into overnight. The incidents occurred in the 3300 block of Greenwood Boulevard, 3300 and 3600 blocks of Oxford Boulevard, 2000 block of Alameda Avenue, and 3500 block of Commonwealth Avenue.

A red Oldsmobile was reported stolen from the parking lot of a Maplewood Commons business. Witnesses say they saw a man break out the window before entering the car and driving away. Sunday, Jan. 20

A 21-year-old man was arrested inside a Maplewood Commons business on suspicion of stealing $750 in merchandise. He also was in possession of marijuana and was wanted on an outstanding warrant, police report.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault after an incident outside a Maplewood Commons business. He assaulted his girlfriend, and was wanted by another agency on an outstanding warrant, police report. 

Approximately six vehicles were damaged overnight in the 7700 block of Rannells Avenue, 2500 block of Valley Avenue, and 7700 block of Lohmeyer Avenue. The windows of the vehicles were shattered by a pellet or BB gun. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Maplewood Police Department at 314-645-3000 or the anonymous tip line at 314-781-3733
