Cars Ransacked in Brentwood, Rockhill

An observant resident tipped off the Brentwood police, which led to arrests Saturday morning.

Over night, numerous cars in the Brentwood/Rock Hill area were ransacked. 

Coins, lighters, stereo faceplates, cash and wallets were taken. Thanks to a tip from an observant resident, and some alert police work, two men were arrested Saturday morning in connection with the thefts. Some of the property was recovered. Brentwood police continue to investigate this morning.

Thefts from vehicles have become more commonplace in the St. Louis area in the last few years, and Brentwood has been targeted several times.

The majority of the vehciles entered are unlocked and the items taken are in plain sight. You can greatly reduce your chance of becoming a victim of this crime by bringing your valuables inside your residence and locking your vehicle.
