5 Air Conditioning Units Stolen from Maplewood Businesses in 1 1/2 Weeks

Maplewood Police have asked business owners and residents to be watchful.

During the past week and a half in Maplewood, five air conditioning units have been stolen from the rear of businesses and on one occasion a vacant apartment complex, Maplewood Police reported on Dec. 27.

Though the thefts have not been in residential areas, block captains were asked to keep a watchful eye and pass on the information to other residents.

The air conditioning units were taken from businesses in the 2100 and 2600 blocks of Big Bend Boulevard. The apartment complex was in the area of Jerome and Bredell avenues.

Police are asking business owners and residents to be alert and to report any suspicious activity to the Maplewood Police Department at 314-645-3000.
