Fire Officials Respond to Busted Sprinkler in Brentwood

A first alarm call rallied fire officials to the scene, but thankfully there was no fire; only a busted sprinkler head.

A busted water sprinkler head is to blame for a first alarm call in the building that houses in Brentwood this afternoon.

At least six fire engines, two ambulances and a fire department SUV responded to the call.

The call came in at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, said Maj. Dan Fitzgerald, assistant chief of the .

The sprinklers are connected to the alarm system, which is why so many engines responded. It could have been a fire.

But, thankfully, there were no fires or injuries, Fitzgerald said.

"Just dealing with some water issues now," he said.

Engines from Brentwood, Maplewood, Rock Hill, Ladue, Clayton and Richmond Heights responded to the call.
