7 Shoplifting Thefts, 2 Cars Broken Into at Galleria, Police Say

Also a woman was arrested for suspected yelling and cursing at officers.

The Richmond Heights Police Department reported these incidents, which occurred at the St. Louis Galleria, on its website.

Thursday, Dec. 6

  • A juvenile was suspected of stealing $75 in merchandise from Macy's. The subject was arrested and taken to the St. Louis County Juvenile Detention Center.
  • A vehicle was reported broken into and a shopping bag was stolen in the Galleria parking lot.

  • A subject was arrested and held on a municipal warrant application for suspicion of stealing $232 in merchandise at Macy's.
  • A Nordstrom employee reported his vehicle was stolen from the Galleria lot while he was at work.

Saturday, Dec. 8

  • A man reported seeing a subject breaking into his vehicle. Officers searched the Galleria lot and located the suspect, who was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security had held two subjects suspected of stealing $238 in merchandise. The subjects were arrested and later released on a municipal court summons.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

  • Galleria security detained a subject after making contact with her companion. She began to yell and curse at security for harassing the companion. She was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.

Friday, Dec. 14

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security had a Macy’s employee in custody for stealing. The employee had activated a Macy’s gift card in the amount of $100, pocketing the gift card but not paying for it. The employee was arrested and held for a municipal warrant application.

Monday, Dec. 17

  • Police officers responded to Macy’s where security had detained a subject for stealing $65 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held on a municipal warrant application.
  • Officers responded to Dillard's where security had a subject in custody for concealing $215 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a municipal court summons.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security had four juveniles in custody for stealing $276 in merchandise. All four were arrested. Two were released to a guardian and two were taken to the St. Louis County Juvenile Detention Center.
