Sam's Club Ex-Employee Arrested, Suspected of Issuing Bogus Gift Cards

The Maplewood Sam's Club ex-employee faces up to 20 years imprisonment, if convicted.

Genis Helm, 25, of St. Louis County, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of issuing bogus returns and gift cards as a customer service agent at Sam’s Club of Maplewood over several months in 2012.

Maplewood Police Department detectives investigated the case.

Helm is free on bond awaiting trial. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years imprisonment, a fine of $250,000 or both.  Restitution to the victim is also mandatory.
