Man Charged with Robberies at Promenade and Shane Co. in Brentwood
The same man was charged Thursday with a robbery on the Mehlville Kmart parking lot.
A man charged in a Mehlville Kmart robbery also was charged Friday by the county prosecutor with two robberies in Brentwood.
Curtis Edwards, 28, faces two counts of first-degree robbery in Brentwood; the first was attempted, the second was succesful, but he was caught after a chase.
said in a report that parking lot May 23 and told her to give him her purse or he would shoot her. The woman ran away.

Police said five days later, on Thursday, Edwards approached another woman on the parking lot and . The woman gave him her purse.
Edwards also was charged Thursday with first-degree robbery in Mehlville.

Brentwood, Shrewsbury, Crestwood and St. Louis County police have been investigating four robberies they said were related. Of those, three men have been arrested, but only two, Edwards and , have been charged with crimes.
