Maplewood Police: Drug Violations on Southwest and Oxford

Monday, June 24

  • A 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting approximately $270 in DVDs from a Maplewood Commons business. 
  • A wallet and radio were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 7200 block of Lyndover Place.  The door lock was damaged.

  • A 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting alcohol from a Maplewood Commons business.
  •  A 22-year-old man was arrested for a drug violation and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 7200 block of Southwest Avenue.

 Wednesday, June 26

  • A man forged a check in the amount of approximately $170 at a business in the 7300 block of Manchester. The incident occurred in April. 
  • Police responded to the 7400 block of Commonwealth for a reported assault involving a man and a woman. Both subjects were subsequently arrested. A records check revealed the man had multiple active warrants for his arrest through other jurisdictions. 
  •  A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.  Police also found drug paraphernalia on her.

 Thursday, June 27

  • Two men were arrested in the 3700 block of Oxford for drug violations and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  •  A 45-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  •  A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police responded to the 7200 block of Anna Avenue for a reported disturbance.  A man and woman had been arguing. One of the parties agreed to leave the residence and no arrests were made.

 Saturday, June 29

  • A 42-year-old man was arrested for disturbing the peace in the 2800 block of Laclede Station. 
  • A 56-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.  Police will be seeking felony charges through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office due to her prior history for larceny.
  •  A 55-year-old man was arrested in the 2000 block of Bellevue Avenue on suspicion of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. 

 Sunday, June 30

  • Three vehicles were broken into during the early morning hours in the 2200 block of Yale Avenue, the 7200 block of Lyndover Place, and the 7100 block of Lyndover.  Electronic equipment was taken.
  • Two men are suspected of stealing merchandise from a business in the 2900 block of S. Big Bend.  They were last seen running north on Big Bend. Officers checked the area, however they were unable to locate the two suspects.
