Maplewood Man Ran From Officers Making Arrest on Probation Violation, Police Say

Maplewood Police said Collier violated probation on a drug distribution charge.

A Maplewood man is accused of fleeing police attempting to arrest him for a probation violation.

Christopher Collier, 24, of the 2500 block of Bredell Avenue in Maplewood, was charged Feb. 14 with resisting arrest.

Maplewood Police said detectives attempted to arrest Collier at his residence at about 12:51 p.m. Feb. 13, but he jumped out of a car, ran into his mother’s backyard and into her home.

Police said he was being arrested for violating his probation after being found guilty on a possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute charge.

Collier is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $10,000 for the resisting arrest charge.
