Man Suspected of Stealing Camera from Sutton Blvd. Business, and More from Maplewood Police

Two arrests for suspicion of shoplifting from Maplewood Commons businesses.

The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department.

Monday, Sept. 17

  • A 38-year-old woman was arrested in the 7700 block of Folk for assault and trespassing. She was suspected of assaulting her ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend. There were no serious injuries reported.
  • A vehicle parked in the 7200 block of South Street was damaged between 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 and 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 17. Unknown suspect(s) had tried to steal the vehicle by prying the door lock and removing the ignition.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

  • A 24-year-old male was arrested for suspicion of stealing a camera from a business in the 3100 block of Sutton.
  • A laptop, a small amount of US currency, and a cable box were reported stolen from a residence in the 7500 block of Woodland. Police are following up on several leads.
  • A 51-year-old female driver was arrested at a vehicle accident at the intersection of Manchester Road and Oakview Terrace for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Wednesday, Sept. 19

  • A 31-year-old woman was arrested on suspcion of shoplifting cosmetics from a Maplewood Commons business.

Thursday, Sept. 20

  • A 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting over $500 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.  A records check showed she was also wanted on a probation violation.

Saturday, Sept. 22

  • A car window was reported spray painted in the 2400 block of Laclede Station Road. Police officers found two other cars spray painted the same color in the area.
