Maplewood Police: Air Conditioner Thief Arrested

The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

Monday, Feb. 4

• A 21-year-old male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana stemming from a traffic stop conducted in the area of Bruno and Blendon.  The other occupant of the vehicle had multiple warrants including a failure to appear warrant through the City of Maplewood.
• A 54-year-old male subject was arrested for threatening another person near the 2300 block of Maplewood Commons Drive. He was also cited for drinking in public.
• A 43-year-old male suspect was arrested on five counts of felony theft regarding an investigation into air conditioning units stolen during the month of December 2012. Charges are pending at this time and the case has been forwarded to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. 

Tuesday, Feb. 5

• A 22-year-old female subject was arrested for shoplifting approximately $110 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
• A 29-year-old male subject was arrested for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. The male suspect was also wanted by the Maplewood Police Department for a failure to appear warrant. 
•  A 29-year-old male subject was arrested for shoplifting approximately $300 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Wednesday, Feb. 6          

• A 19-year-old female was arrested for shoplifting clothing from a Maplewood Commons business. She was also charged for providing false information to an officer. 
• A 25-year-old male subject was arrested for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. The male suspect was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and charged accordingly.
• A 23-year-old female was arrested on a drug violation charge in the 2300 block of Big Bend.
• An air conditioning unit was reported stolen from the 7700 block of Weaver between Feb. 4-8.    

Friday, Feb. 8       

• A 22-year-old male driver was arrestedin the 2200 block of Yale for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.
• Larceny from a vehicle was reported in the 2300 block of Maplewood Commons drive. The unknown suspect(s) broke out a window of a vehicle and stole approximately $900 in property from within the vehicle. Another vehicle was reported broken into in the same area on Feb. 9.
• A 35-year-old male subject was arrested for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
• A 22-year-old female driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 2200 block of Yale.

Saturday, Feb. 9

• A 26-year-old male driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance stemming from a traffic stop conducted near Big Bend and Zephyr.

Sunday, Feb. 10

• A 54-year-old female was arrested for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
