Maplewood Police: Man Hit with Padlock, Windshield Shattered with Boulder

Maplewood Police reported incidents that occurred October 12-14.

The Maplewood Police Department reported following incidents.

Friday, Oct. 12

  • A television and a jacket was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Hope Avenue and Manchester Road sometime between 5:45 p.m. and 6 p.m.
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of hitting another man in the face with a padlock in the 2600 block of Big Bend. The victim reported that they had a verbal argument, then the suspect hit him. The victim was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

  • The owner of a vehicle in the 7500 block of Weaver Avenue heard a loud noise outside at approximately 1:15 a.m. He went out and saw that a large boulder had been thrown through his front windshield, shattering it.
