Men Smashed Window, Stole $1,045 in Cigarettes From Gas Station, Police Say

Vincent Granderson, of Webster Groves, is charged with burglary and felony theft in the break-in at the Conoco gas station on Big Bend Boulevard.

A man is charged with breaking into a Maplewood gas station and stealing 42 cartons of cigarettes May 12.

Vincent Granderson, 48, of the 7800 block of South Big Bend Boulevard in Webster Groves, was charged Thursday with second-degree burglary and felony theft.

Maplewood Police said Granderson is shown on security video, acting with another person in burglarizing the Maplewood Fuel Mart at 3600 South Big Bend Blvd. A large rock was thrown through the glass front door and Granderson and an accomplice then stuffed 42 cigarette cartons into a trash bag and fled.

The cigarette cartons are valued at $1,045.

Granderson is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $20,000.
