Gary T. Workes, a 1971 Maplewood Richmond Heights graduate, was one of two men found dead of apparent stab wounds in a University City apartment on Thursday. He was identified as an MRH graduate by classmates on Facebook.
Workes' sister, Catherine Hendrix, said she believes he was attacked by someone he knew, a St. Louis Post Dispatch article states.
Hendrix said in the article that Workes had worked for Schnucks for 43 years as a bagger and delivery driver, and that he loved to play scratch-off lottery tickets and poker, and drink beer.
