Police: $260 Stolen in Scam at Galleria

Also, a fraudulent transaction was reported on a debit card stolen at Raising Cane's restaurant.

The Richmond Heights Police Department reported the following incidents on its website.

Saturday, June 29

  • Officers responded to the H and M store where security held a subject who was previously banned from the store. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.

  • The victims reported that two subjects approached them and ended up stealing $260 cash in a confidence scam.

Wednesday, June 26

  • Officers responded to Love Culture where security detained a subject for stealing $10 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.
  • Victim stated that she discovered an additional fraudulent transaction on her stolen debit card at the Raising Cane’s restaurant. The theft of her debit card was previously reported to this department.

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security held a juvenile for stealing $110 in merchandise. The juvenile was arrested and later released to a parent.
  • Officers responded to Microsoft where security held an employee who had made purchases with gift cards that the employee intentionally failed to cancel after prior customers made purchases with them. The employee was arrested and held on a muni warrant application.

Sunday, June 23

  • Officers responded to Love Culture where security held a subject for stealing $43 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.

Saturday, June 22

  • Officers responded to Sephora where security had detained a subject for stealing $195 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held on a muni warrant application.
