I consider the real criminals to be those responsible for the most basic ER visit costing about $1000 these days, which makes it a very difficult decision for low income people to seek medical treatment.

You don't have to go to an ER. There are doctor's offices and also Walgreen's and the other small clinics all over the place.

Why come up with excuses for this women? Let's see...her child gets "severely burned" yet she decides not to take him/her to the emergency room. Please explain the rational behind that decision. This persons economic status should have absolutely no bearing on her being able to get medical attention for her TWO YEAR OLD child. I highly doubt a hospital will turn down treating this toddler in a situation like that. Why is this mother in the gene pool again?

If the child was severlery burned then the ER visit is a MUST. When my son was 3, he was burned on his right hand. I called his Dr. Immediately. They advised to come in. And that's what we did. In this case I would really wonder HOW this child GOT severley burned in all those places mentioned.
