Man Stole $1,230 With Fake Refunds at Maplewood Store, Police Say

The former employee at Game Stop in Maplewood Commons was charged with theft January 31.

An employee is accused of stealing money from the Game Stop store in Maplewood Commons.

Jordan Loeffelman, 22, of Second Governor Court in O’Fallon, MO was charged Jan. 31 with felony stealing.

Maplewood Police said Loeffelman confessed to his employers that he stole at least $900 between April 1 through April 24 by executing fraudulent refunds and taking cash from the register. Investigators determined $1,230.92 had been stolen from the store at 1821 Maplewood Commons Drive, police said.

Loeffelman posted 10 percent of a $10,000 bond and was released Wednesday from St. Louis County jail.
