Whizzinator Fails to Fool Parole Officer, Who Seizes Device

Man is charged with forgery for attempting to submit fraudulent urine sample.

A man on parole used a Whizzinator, a fake penis prosthetic device, in an attempt to provide a fake urine sample to the Missouri Probation and Parole Office, St. Charles police said. A parole officer "seized the device during the procedure," according to court documents.

The man, Lawrence Hefele, 30, of the 3900 block of Fairview Street in South St. Louis, was charged Nov. 29 with forgery for attempting to submit the fake urine sample. Hefele was on probation for possession of a controlled substance.

St. Charles police said the defendant attempted to provide a false urine sample, "knowing that it had been made so it purported a genuineness it did not possess." He tried using the penis prosthetic at the Missouri Probation and Parole Office at 211 Compass Street in St. Charles, police said.

Bail was set at $10,000 for Hefele.
