Carolyn Brown Honored for Years of Service

Brown worked for the city for 33 years.

After 33 years of service, Carolyn Brown retired from in June. 

Brown had worked as accounting supervisor for the city.

The city honored her during the Maplewood City Council meeting on Tuesday. She received two plaques, one that congratulated her upon her retirement, and another that lauded her outstanding service to Maplewood.

Brown retired in June but continues to work part-time as the city’s treasurer.

“Carolyn was with us when we (Maplewood) had no money, and when we have money,” City Manager Marty Corcoran said.
