Elected Officials Asked for No Prison Time for Seemayer

In letters submitted to U.S. District Judge Catherine Perry, Mayor Pat Kelly and Alderman Andy Leahy said former Brentwood city administrator did an "outstanding" job for the city.

Prior to last week's , two elected officials asked U.S. District Judge Catherine Perry to grant leniency in her sentencing.

Mayor Pat Kelly and Ward 3 Alderman Andy Leahy submitted letters to the court that requested that Seemayer stay out of prison.

"Removing Chris from the community and family only add to the loss. It will not make amends and it will make the hurt and damage worse," stated Leahy in the letter.

In the mayor's letter, he reffered to Leahy's letter and stated, "From a personal standpoint, I could have not said it better myself and agree fully with his recommendation."

The two letters were referenced by the judge before her sentencing last week. Perry . She ultimately agreed with their reasoning and sentenced Seemayer to five years probation.
