Engineering Firm Selected to Review Manchester Road Construction

Local company Horner Shifrin will be responsible for designing and managing phase 3 of the construction process.

A local engineering firm has been chosen to help oversee a  on sections of Manchester Road in Maplewood.

Maplewood City Council approved Horner Shifrin  for engineering services for the job at last Tuesday's meeting, based on a qualification review that deemed the company's skill sets, experience and staff competency to be up to the city's standards.

In what will be the third and final phase of the project, construction will begin by August 2014 for curbs, gutters, sidewalks and a wider roadway from Bredell Avenue to Hanley Road, according to a city memo.
