Maplewood Council to Consider New Café

A complete kitchen would need to be built for the new Maplewood restaurant.

The Maplewood City Council will hold a regular meeting on July 30 at 7:30 p.m. The city has provided the following agenda notes.

  • Item #6 is a public hearing to hear citizen’s comments on a request for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a restaurant at 7310 Manchester Avenue (formerly T. Rohan Interiors).
  • Items #10-11 are resolutions reappointing Dave Clark and Patrick Jugo to the Board of Adjustment and establishing their terms as expiring June 30, 2018.
  • Items #12-13 are resolutions reappointing Eric Hoffman and Whitford Lynn to the Design and Review Board and Historic and Preservation Commission and establishing their terms of office as expiring June 30, 2016.
  • Item #14 is a resolution reappointing Charles Hinderliter to the Library Board and establishing his term of office as expiring June 30, 2016.
  • Items #15-17 are resolutions reappointing Heidi Barks, Robert Harsh and Christy Kramlich to the Parks and Recreation Commission and establishing their terms of office as expiring June 30, 2016.
  • Items #18-19 are resolutions reappointing Ralph Bicknese and Andrew Wilson to the Sustainability Commission and establishing their terms of office as expiring June 30, 2016.
  • Item #20 is a resolution authorizing Regina Davis to begin interior construction on a restaurant facility at 7310 Manchester Avenue.
  • Item #21 is an ordinance amending Ordinance 5573. As amended, the number of intoxicating liquor licenses limited so that one-half of the 41 liquor licenses the city is authorized to issue could be issued for non-restaurant liquor operations.  At the present time, only one-quarter of the liquor licenses may be used for a non-restaurant purpose, which means we could issue 10 non-restaurant licenses.  Under the revised ordinance, we can issue 20 non-restaurant liquor licenses.
  • Item #22 is an ordinance to re-adopt and to establish and make public a procedure to disclose potential conflicts of interest and substantial interests for certain municipal officials.  The City of Maplewood is required to readopt a financial disclosure ordinance every two years.
