Ethics Complaint Filed Against Brentwood Mayor and Glenn Jamboretz
Matt Saunders, acting for his wife Maureen, filed a complaint with the Missouri Ethics Commission on Monday, asking the commission to investigate the anonymous mailings sent to Ward 1 residents the week before the municipal election.
Newly-elected Ward 1 Alderwoman Maureen Saunders believes the three anonymous mailings sent to residents prior to the April 3 election were a violation of state campaign laws.
Her husband, Matt Saunders, filed a complaint on Monday with the Missouri Ethics Commission against Brentwood mayor Pat Kelly and Glenn Jamboretz, the CEO of Glennon Company, a St. Louis marketing firm.
In the complaint, Saunders charges that Kelly and Jamboretz were involved in . In an email to Patch, Saunders stated he believed the mailings violated a state campaign disclosure law that requires supporters of campaign material be identified.

Kelly and Jamboretz have both denied involvement with the mailings.
The ethics commission must notify anyone mentioned in the complaint within five days of the filing, and the investigation must be completed within 90 days. Any investigations or hearings will be closed to the public, though the findings will be made public, according to the Missouri Ethics Commission website.

Saunders sent copies of the mailings, as well as an article from the St. Charles First Capital News from 2005, which discussed Jamboretz's involvement in an apparent attempt by the then St. Charles mayor to cover up payments of taxpayer dollars to Jamboretz, her political consultant at the time.
In Saunders' email to Patch, he stated that Jamboretz' history with the St. Charles mayor implicates him in the Brentwood Ward 1 anonymous letters. Jamboretz brought attention to himself when he from the St. Louis County Election Board.
Saunders said Kelly is responsible for bringing Jim Bischoff and Jamboretz together.
