Ordinance Will Bring New Parking Rules to Sutton Loop Lot

As of March 14 a lot adjacent to the Sutton Bus Loop will become 2-hour parking only.

Maplewood City Council gave final approval on an ordinance change to make parking for the Sutton Bus Loop limited to two hours at last night's council meeting.

Prior to approval, the Maplewood Code of Ordinances had no rules in place for a lot near the loop, which is just south of Manchester Road at Hazel and Sutton Avenues. 

The change will go into effect on March 14, and motorists will have to abide by the following rules:

  • 2-hour parking only
  • No overnight parking
  • No vehicle repairs on site at any time
  • No commercial vehicle parking at any time

The lot is new and requires similar standards and regulations to other lots across Maplewood, City Manager Marty Corcoran said. Parking will be free.
